Exam time is almost over (I only have four left— hip-hip-hooray), so what is next in my life? This, I guess is the time when everything changes again; a fresh start so to speak.
I think this is going to be good for me to be perfectly honest. However, I do think I’m gonna miss a lot. I’m leaving way too many people behind in my life, people I don’t want to lose. I know I will though, it’s inevitable. Empty promises are made and people say they will “keep in touch” and “meet up every week” but it doesn’t happen— I know it doesn’t.
I’m also leaving the comfort of school behind. Sure we all complain about it and the teachers, work, and whatever else it contains but we will miss it. Everyone at the moment has this kind of clouded perception of college, that it’s all going to be a breeze— that the workload will be no more than it is right now. I for one cannot see that at all. The workload will be immense and there will be no second chances; a deadline is a deadline for a reason, you miss it and you’re dead.
Then again, it is a fresh start. Even as I leave behind some of the best people I have and ever will meet in my life (you all know who you are [I hope]), I get to meet some new ones. The perceptions people have of me will disappear with new ones will arrive.
I just hope it doesn’t suck, then all of the sacrifices will not be worth it.
School is a little hectic at the moment. We have around 8 weeks until our final exams start but some are starting early. I have my art exam on Wednesday/Thursday (a 10 hour exam) and the exam board have said that iPods are no longer allowed — neither is talking
On top of that my deadline for my graphics practical is Thursday, and then I have only two weeks to get the coursework completed.
Hopefully I’ll get it done if my art teacher doesn’t stop being a total asshole and actually stay behind one week. I have one lesson a week and he never seems to be able to make it. Even if he can he doesn’t help one bit.
Toodles x
Ok, so I’ve been extremely lazy when it comes to writing these blog posts (the last one was before Christmas!), so I thought I’d write what will probably be a brief one on what I’ve been up to lately.
I finally got letters form City of Bristol College and St. Brendans informing me that I had been given conditional offers to the courses I applyed for. It took a long time for me to decide where I wanted to go. Intially St. Brendans had been my first choice. A Levels would be what I’d be studying there and that is a much more academic route than the BTEC courses on offer at CoB. However St. Brns was much farther to travel and would involve an hour to get there every morning. Coupled with a terrible impression they gave me at interview, I decided to reject the placement.
